Was doing some lifts that kept me uncomfortable under tension the other day and it got me thinking. How often do we force ourselves out of our comfort zones 🤔. . Staying there in a challenging position made me think of when life throws challenges at me. The easy thing is to throw in the towel. To half ass it. To cheat it, even. But the hard thing, the most rewarding thing that brings maximal growth? That would be to stay the course and rise to the challenge. 🍑LUNGES & SQUATS🍑 Are awesome for the booty but are you getting bored of them? Here are a few ways to switch them up, make them a little more challenging, and add some power to your training! 💙Jump Squats Twists - Lower yourself into a squat position and when you jump up twist your lower body 90 degrees to the right while keeping your upper body forward. Come back down and repeat on the left! 💙Knee Drive Lunges - Lower down into a lunge. Push off your front leg and bring your knee to your chest or as high as you can. Try 10 reps and repeat on the other side! 💙X-Jumps - These are basically jump squats but in between when you come down reach for your opposite foot to get a little twist in your torso then jump as high as you can! 💙Lunge-Lunge-Squat - Combine your basic jump lunge and jump squat together for a move that will challenge your coordination and balance! 💙Lateral Lunge w/Knee Up - Step out to the side and sink your booty down like you are sitting in a chair. Keep your back straight, chest lifted, and knee behind your toes. From there, push off your leg and bring your knee up. Repeat on the other side!
